The Washington Nationals on Thursday purchased the contract of lefthander Odalis Perez while placing righthanders Shawn Hill and Ryan Wagner and outfielder Wily Mo Pena on the 15-day disabled list.
Perez, who was signed to a minor league contract and invited to camp before the start of spring training, has pushed his way into a spot on the major league roster thanks to a rash of injuries to the rotation.
The veteran started Thursday’s Grapefruit League game against the Houston Astros, yielding two runs and four hits in six innings to lower his spring training ERA to 5.23.
Washington, which released former ace John Patterson earlier Thursday, was counting on Hill (right forearm strain) to claim a spot in the rotation this spring and had Wagner - who is recovering from right shoulder surgery - pegged for a role in the bullpen.
Pena, who is suffering from a left oblique strain, has spent the spring battling for outfield time with newcomers Lastings Milledge and Elijah Dukes.

    It’s called psychology, dumbass.

Bullshit! Excellent title. If it hadn’t have been slightly negative, people who were still skeptical of Obama or outright hated the guy would have never clicked the link. There’s too much sweating of Obama’s nuts going on around Reddit, and this article was just what Reddit needed. An article that piqued interest without getting just the fanboys, and an article with actual substance.

  3. Suzy Says:

Great article, best thing I’ve read on Dailykos by a long way. Hasn’t changed this Brits opinion that Obama is the only sane choice for Prez. Reinforced it in fact.

  4. Dena Says:

Think through this controversial opinion of yours. What you are basically saying is that there would be a government body that decides who gets to vote and who doesn’t.Why you can’t see the HUGEMONGOUS POTENTIAL FOR ABUSE of such a system is beyond me.

  5. Selina Says:

I agree. Most of the stuff I’ve read on DailyKos seems very biased to me.

  6. Daisy Says:

I shall now ignore anyone who claims Obama doesn’t have enough experience to be President.S.J.RES.23 - all the evidence I need. Why don’t the candidates get/take the opportunity to mention these things to us? I’m very impressed with Obama’s professionalism in the face of Clinton’s FUD. He seems to epitomize “Don’t Feed the Trolls”

  7. Sharyn Says:

Yeah, I couldn’t believe that it was a fair, intelligent, well-researched, in-depth article.

  8. Wren Says:

Abraham Lincoln had less than 2 terms as a major political figure, and I think he did some good things.

  9. Gladwyn Says:

wtf buddy actually read the whole thing.
